RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE/ EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

02/2013 – Present:   FREELANCE JOURNALIST & DOCUMENTARY FILM DIRECTOR
Finnish Broadcasting Company Yleisradio, others
Directing two 28-minute documentary films for the television program Eyewitness (Silminnäkijä) that were broadcasted in February 2013 and March 2014. Published articles and features in magazines focusing on development and political issues in Finland. Freelance feature length radio pieces have been broadcasted by the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE and the local radio station in Tampere Radio Moreeni.

09/2014 – Present: MODERATOR
Several different
Moderating discussions with an invited guest and audience on political and social topics. The events aim at bringing the EU and decision-makers closer to young people. Clients include Schwarzkopf-Stiftung Junges Europa, Linke Medienakademie, and the Finnish Institute in Berlin.

01/2014 – 12/2014:  TRAINEE
Finnish Institute in Berlin, Germany
Planning and implementation of projects, such as art exhibitions in the venues of the Institute and elsewhere; communication with Finnish and German partners; moderating events and panel discussions; writing press releases, taking part in the planning of several communications strategies.

09/2013 – 12/2013:  CATALOGUE EDITOR
Lens Politica Film & Media Art Festival 
Contacting and take care of relations to advertisers for the catalogue. Writing and editing of film reviews. Translating texts and proofreading in both Finnish and English.

Local radio station Radio Moreeni, Tampere
Hosting own radio show “Voice break” (Äänenmurros) that focused on active youth leaders and young voices in society. The show was a half-hour live broadcast.
