Documentary films:

Love me to life (in Finnish: Rakasta minut henkiin)
28 min
Broadcasted on February 14, 2013 at 20.00 in the programme Silminnäkijä (“Eyewitness”) on Finnish TV2
Synopsis:
The documentary looked closely at the path of children that are given to adoption in Finland. We meet a foster family who take care of these newborns during the first weeks of their life before they can be legally adopted by a family from the adoption waiting list. Also, a couple who adopted a boy three years ago tell their story of a different start into parenthood.
It is the foster family who says: “These children cling to you with all their strength. We need to give them the feeling that they are wanted, that they are loved. We love them back to life.”

Free money for everyone (in Finnish: Ilmaista rahaa kaikille)
28 min
Broadcasted on March 20, 2014 at 20.00 in the programme Silminnäkijä (“Eyewitness”) on Finnish TV2
Synopsis:
What is basic income, and how would it change the current social welfare system? Basic income is a model that to this day has not been tested anywhere in the world, although it is featured in the agendas of political parties across the political spectrum. Together with journalist Ville Vaarne, we set out to the small Karelian town of Valtimo to find out how people’s lives would change with basic income.
